Carol Robbins is the sign language instructor at the Center for Sight & Hearing. Since 1992 she has taught over 800 students how to use sign language. Carol has been deaf most of her life due to complications of spinal meningitis during her childhood. She was able to communicate by lip reading until she learned sign language at age 23. Carol teaches with a great sense of humor and takes time to make sure her students thoroughly understand the various signs.
