Receiver-In-The-Ear

Receiver-In-The-Ear (RITE) hearing aids are the most popular style because of their comfort and durability. The aids sit behind your ear and connect via a thin wire to a small speaker in your ear canal. RITE hearing aids work well for most degrees of hearing loss.

Completely-In-Canal

Completely-In-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are designed for mild to moderately severe hearing loss and are custom-made for you. They’re small and almost invisible to the naked eye.

Behind-The-Ear

Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aids are sturdy and work well for patients with moderate to severe hearing loss. They rest behind the ear and connect via clear tubing to an earpiece. BTE hearing aids are often used for children because they accommodate different types of earpieces that can be replaced as the child grows.

In-The-Ear

In-The-Ear (ITE) or In-The-Canal (ITC) hearing aids are contained in a shell that fits in the outer part of the ear. ITE aids are slightly larger than their ITC counterparts, and may be easier to handle. Both types are custom-made and work well for patients with mild to severe hearing loss.
