Audiologist

For over 60 years, the Center for Sight & Hearing has been dedicated to restoring hope for people with vision and hearing loss in Northern Illinois.

We are inviting a full-time Audiologist to join our professional team of specialized experts. If you are a creative self-starter who thrives on autonomy and attention to detail, and have the drive to grow within our organization whose mission is to make a difference in patients’ lives – we are looking for you!

The ideal candidate will be an engaged collaborator, who serves our pediatric and adult patients and has an interest in expanding programs such as Cochlear Implants.

Qualifications include: 

  • Doctoral degree in Audiology and current licensure
  • Technical competence in the areas of diagnostics, evaluations, state of the art amplification systems/instruments, and assistive listening devices
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Salary and Benefits include:

  • $80,000 – $90,000 annual salary (based on experience)

Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) - Peoria, IL

The Center for Sight & Hearing is seeking a Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS), who is a highly trained individual who specializes in working with clients who are blind, low vision or who have functional visual limitations, and empowers them to achieve their life goals for education, employment, and independence. The COMS would engage in a comprehensive approach to orientation & mobility addressing nonvisual, visual, physical, cognitive aspects related to mobility training for individuals of all ages, as well as diverse needs and abilities.

Optometrist – Full Time / Part Time

The Center for Sight & Hearing is looking for an Optometrist who can provide clinical services to their Vision Clinic patients, including vision examinations and eye health screenings, prescription of lenses and frames, recommendations for vision and referrals to internal and external resources. The Optometrist establishes and maintains referral relationships with regional ophthalmologists, optometrists, physicians, other medical personnel, as well as government agencies and professional organizations.
